What is Notto

Notto is a not-to-do list — the inverse of a to-do app. A page for the small refusals that shape your days. It's not a habit tracker. There's nothing to babysit.

How it works

1. Add. Write down a thing you've decided to stop. "No phone in bed." "Don't reply to work after 7." Short and specific wins.
2. Strike. The day you avoided it, tap the card. A tomato line sweeps through. You kept your word.
3. Slip. The day you didn't, tap Slip. Add a note if you want. No shame, no broken streak.
4. Edit or archive. Long-press a notto or open its detail view. You can change the text, adjust which weekdays it applies to, or tuck it away when you're done with it.

Streaks

Streaks count engaged days — days you struck or slipped. Both count. Slips do not break the streak.

The Widget

Notto ships with a home screen widget that mirrors your list. Tap a row and you strike that notto for today.

Add it

1. Long-press an empty spot on your home screen.
2. Tap + in the top corner.
3. Search for Notto.
4. Pick a size, tap Add Widget, and drop it where you want it.

Notifications

Notto offers one optional notification: a 9am nudge to check your list.

Turn it on or off

• Inside Notto: Settings → Nudges → Daily nudge.
• If iOS is blocking it: iOS Settings → Notifications → Notto, then allow. Notto will show an "Open Settings" shortcut if this is the case.

Troubleshooting

The widget looks blank or stale.

Tap it once — that wakes the widget timeline and pulls the latest state. If a notto still looks off, open Notto, then return to the home screen. Widgets on iOS can lag a second or two behind the app; that's normal.

The 9am nudge isn't firing.

Check iOS Settings → Notifications → Notto. Make sure notifications are allowed, "Sounds" or "Banners" is on, and Focus / Do Not Disturb isn't silently filtering Notto out. Then confirm Settings → Nudges → Daily nudge is on inside the app.

I reinstalled and my nottos are gone.

Expected. Notto stores everything on-device by design — there's no cloud backup in v1. Deleting the app deletes the data with it. Cloud sync is on the list of things we're thinking about; it's not in the app yet.

I want to change my name.

Settings → Your name. First name is required, last name is optional, nothing is sent anywhere.

I want to start over.

Settings → Start over → Restart onboarding replays the intro. Your nottos stay put.
