Manifesto

What we’re actually selling.

A short pitch for doing less, on purpose.

Your to-do list will never be done. Ever. So we built a list that actually ends — one where every item you add is a thing you’ve decided never to do again.

Notto is the inverse of every productivity app you’ve ever tried. Instead of piling on what to do, it asks a better question: what are you ready to stop?

Scrolling before bed. Replying to emails at midnight. Saying yes to meetings with no agenda. Opening Instagram “just for a sec.” The stuff you keep doing even though you know.

Write it down. Draw a line through it. That’s the whole app. No streaks to babysit, no coach telling you you’ve got this, no badges. Just a list you can finally finish.

Steve Jobs said it first, and he’s not wrong: deciding what not to do is as important as deciding what to do. We just built him the app.

No streaks to babysit.

— Six people. Six lists. None of them yours — but you’ll recognize a few.

How it works

Add. Strike. Slip.

Three small verbs. The whole app.

Add

Write what you're not doing today. One line. No category, no due date, no nag.

Strike

When you refused, slash it through. The line is tomato. The feeling is small but real.

Slip

When you didn't, leave a quiet note. The streak holds anyway — no streaks to babysit.

On your home screen

A widget that quietly waits.

Today's nottos, one tap from struck. No badges, no nagging.

App + Widget

The home screen knows.

The widget mirrors today's list. Tap a row to strike it. The app does the rest — no opening required.

  • 01

    No accounts.

Open the app and write. That's the whole onboarding.

  • 02

    Counts, not lists.

We never see what you write. If we ever measure usage, it’s aggregate — never tied to you.

  • 03

    No tracking.

No IDFA, no fingerprinting, no App Tracking prompt either.

  • 04

    No ads.

    Not now, not ever.

  • 05

    No cloud sync.

Your phone, your list. SwiftData on-device, full stop.

notto

Six lines. Five days. Forty refusals you actually made. That's the whole app.
